As voiceover studios go, mine is super-comfy. With large soundproofed windows filled with natural light and a view of maple and eucalyptus trees, it’s a very energizing place to record. I have a variety of great mics, but my current favorites are the Sennheiser MKH 416 and the Neumann TLM 103 and TLM 102, all legendary mics for super high-end voiceover.

 

Next in-line is the world-renown Focusrite Red 1 Quad Mic Pre, and the Aphex 661 Expressor, both standard bearers for classic super high-end recording. For remote recording, I use Source Connect which insures the highest quality remote connection.

 

I record with the latest Mac computers onto Twisted Wave with Apogee converters using Waves Plugins which deliver a clear digital recording with the rich, warm sound of vintage gear. Monitors by Yamaha and KRK round out the studio, making it an ideal place to record top-shelf voiceover performances.
